On 14 June, 2022 we find the Moon in Sagittarius opposing the Sun in Gemini. This full moon will be at 23˚Sagittarius. To see if you might be affected, find any factor at 23˚ in your chart and whatever house this occurs in your chart will determine what what area of life might be impacted.
This Full Moon is called the Strawberry Moon and we have the Ojibwe, Dakota, Algonquin and Lakota peoples to thank for this title. It is based on the fact that most berries tend to ripen in June. Sagittarius being rule by Jupiter, means that this moon will be Jupiter supported.
*But* - this is also a supermoon Full Moon. A supermoon is when the moon is closest to the earth, so expect to be awed by the sight of it.
Full Moon - Sun Opposition
Remembering that the moon will be opposing the sun, let’s take a quick look at signs of Sagittarius and Gemini:
The higher expression of Gemini include being bright, curious, optimistic and communicative. The lower expression can involve being overly talkative, unemotional, impatient, indecisive and scattered.
The higher expression of Sagittarius includes being adventurous, ethical, enthusiastic, straightforward and generous. The lower expression can include being pushy, blunt, tactless and self or over-indulgent.
The key to getting the energy right between these two signs is to try and find a balance.
Both signs enjoy learning, however Gemini only wants to know basic facts and perhaps “skim” over the information. Sagittarius wants to get all the information and integrate it as a unified whole or truth. But as with all oppositions, both ends of the continuum are important. For instance, excessive details can make your head hurt and become overwhelming unless they can be distilled down into something meaningful. On the other hand, any conclusions or truths can be faulty unless it’s based on solid information and the important details aren’t ignored.
The key to this opposition boils down to evaluating whether or not we are either over-emphasizing on one end or the other.
Key Aspects of the Sag Full Moon
This Sagittarian full moon will square Neptune in Pisces. A t-square is a right triangle (remember your geometry?). T-squares occur when three bodies form a 90˚ angle with one of the bodies being the focal point. In this case, Neptune will be our focal planet.
If this confuses you, think of it like driving a car - you know you can’t drive a car with just three wheels, right? So when a t-square occurs or if you have one in your chart, the way to “fix” this energy is to look across your chart and find where the 4th wheel should naturally go. Once you figure this out, grab your 4th wheel and drive that car!
Because in this full moon t-square configuration Neptune is our focal planet, we know that Neptune brings the energy of compassion, spirituality, faith and even creativity but you should also know by now that he’s responsible for “The Fog” which can create fear, confusion and feeling lost.
Saturn will be making a trine aspect to the Sun and a sextile to the Moon. This will help us by giving a bit a bit of “realism” to the situation and should help us to cut through the fog. If we allow ourselves to drift too far from shore, we can get lost or turned around. Saturn here can help us to see clearly and not row too far from the shore.
Saturn can also help us to put something in place that is long lasting and secure. He’s not just the “TaskMaster”, but also a builder. Just take note the Saturn is moving retrograde - so this will give you an opportunity to redo, re-think, re-assess whatever ails you.
My friend and colleague, Jessica Adams has just written an article on Saturn Retrograde over on her site. If you’ve not had opportunity to read it, you can find it here. It’s a great read.
Mars, Jupiter and Chiron in Aries
The God of War is moving through his ruling and this means he’s extra powerful. Mars can give us courage and determination and Aries can help us initiate things. But he can also cause us to be angry and pushy and make us run over people and things if we don’t get our way - so careful with this energy.
Jupiter has also entered Aries and will be in a wide conjunction with Mars and Mars will be in exact (0˚) conjunction with Chiron. This can be a great time to do some healing work within ourselves. The Mars-Chiron conjunction may cause us to feel vulnerable when we think about asserting ourselves in a courageous way or we may be feeling extra sensitive -this is a full moon - especially if we feel attacked or maligned in some way. But don’t run away and hide, use this opportunity to learn about increasing your self esteem or expressing anger in a healthy way.
Having Mars, Chiron and Jupiter together and working in tandem means that any healing we do has a good chance of success. If we become aware of our reactions we may be able to fix - for example:
Blaming ourselves for feeling weak or ineffective.
Being too blunt, impulsive or aggressive with others.
Move away from judging our worth or “special-ness” by external standards or social status.
Venus and Uranus
The planet of love, beauty and harmony will be conjuncting the planet of surprises, unpredictability, invention and shock! Both of these bodies will be close together in the sign of Taurus. This could mean important and possibly unexpected changes in the areas of love, finances and personal desires. Uranus in this aspect can bring very sudden, unexpected change however I have found that if this occurs, it simply means that change is needed so “resistance is futile”. There comes a point in our lives when change is needed in our relationships - no matter the type of relationship. If the relationship has become stagnant or unhealthy but you still can’t seem to drop it, Uranus will come along to do what you’ve been unable. Go with it. Go with it and ride the wave as it will usually take you a brand new shore where you can rebuild.
Things to Remember
Here’s a few tips to help you stay calm and grounded around this full moon:
If you have choices or decisions to make around this full moon - wait. Full Moons are notoriously emotional and you don’t ever want to make a decision if you’re tired, mad, scared or sad. Wait to decide at least three days leading up to and three days after the full moon. It’s like that saying: “Never go grocery shopping when you’re hungry.” When you do this, you always find that you over-spent or got a surplus of junk food that you really don’t need.
Fear. Don’t allow fear to hold you back. Fear is a real immobilizer and can keep you stuck in unhealthy situations. If you find yourself fearful over something just remember - it’s your ego talking and it only wants to keep you where it’s comfortable. Not where YOU”RE comfortable. Fear in certain circumstances is a natural emotion, but you should never let it rule your life or decisions.
This is just a moment. Sometimes when things are going bad for me or I feel fearful about something, I step back, acknowledge the situation and then take time to let it pass. Every single second of our lives is a “moment” and moments always pass away. Just say to yourself - “This is a moment and it will pass”. Promise you it works every time.
A Bit of Business
The June 2022 General Tarot readings have been posted to the site. Premium website members can login here to view. If you’re not a premium member or simply prefer just to see the readings, you can do so here by purchasing the 72hr Video Pass.
As you guys know, my daughter graduated from her dual program back on 22 May and my Mom has been here visiting. Raising my daughter alone as single parent has been on of the most challenging things I’ve ever attempted.
I had her at pretty-near 40, got really sick during the pregnancy and spent three months on bed rest. Lost my apartment so was homeless with a new-born for a while. Moved back to my home state for 7 years where we lived on $7000/yr. Finally moved back to Texas where I got her through her schooling to graduate Summa Cum Laude in dual course, started my business and bought a house.
All this to say two things:
I’m a Capricorn rising so I’ve had Pluto transiting my 12th house since the day I was born. Additionally, I have Saturn in my 2nd house - so every thing I’ve encountered in my life has been a real slog. And I’m tired.
Every thing I’ve encountered in life have been great life lessons. It has taught me perseverance and given me the ability to get real about things in my life by never giving up.
So while I’m not giving up, my tiredness requires that I take a short break. I will not be producing any readings for the website for the month of July. Instead, I will be resting up for the next chapter - those tarot lessons I’ve been forever talking about. The entire month of July will be spent finalizing the classes in preparation to launch.
I do love the work that I do, and I don’t think the Cards will allow me to just not do anything - so look for readings on my channel during July. I do hope my website members will bear with me during July and remember that I’m not abandoning you, just recharging and preparing for the next phase to come. I’ll also be doing some Nostradamus readings for the upcoming November 2022 election cycle.
Finally - you can find the Sagittarius Full Moon reading here on my channel. If you’ve not subscribed to my channel, I ask that you please do so. And you can follow me on Twitter and LinkedIn. I do hope see you.
Have a restful and energizing break. You have accomplished so much. Enjoy.
