Remember this picture?
This was the cover of The Economist magazine for 2026. Many people were trying to decipher it - me included because it has some very interesting things contained in the drawing.
There’s sports, pills and hypodermic needles (medicine and research), robots and computers, tanks, ships, missiles, world leaders, etc.
Let’s start with sports. The globe depicted as a soccer ball being kicked. We’ve just had the World Cup (at this writing the final game has not been played). There’s boxing (47s love for UFC fights and Conner McGregor lost his bout). The loose pills and the hypodermic needle - I feel refers to Medicare/Medicaid/Health Insurance and the Ebola breakout. But these can also refer to medicine and research of new drugs/treatments. There’s a skier and a runner - Olympic games.
Computers, robots and a game controller attached to a brain - indicates AI and our growing dependence on this technology to solve problems, entertain and even surveil the population.

The birthday cake with the numbers “250” refer to America’s founding. The fist coming out of the cake infers power/resistance, that the fist is shackled may imply authoritarianism, a felon and his administration in the White House or that our freedoms are being stripped away from us. The missiles surrounding the cake infers the power of the US but also the need to be “the biggest, baddest, best” when it comes to sheer military strength. That cake also resembles the White House lawn just a few weeks ago - a carnival atmosphere.
Right beneath the cake we see a piece of paper with an EKG line (or maybe 47s signature) but on top of the paper, there are coins symbolizing American currency but also the crypto market. But now that I think about it, that EKG could also be the stock market. The two crossed swords indicate (at least to me as a card reader) uncertainty, duality, crossed purposes and a potential clash. There is a large, red dollar sign however it’s placed close to a figure feeding a sheet of paper with an X into a machine. For me, this refers to voting and all the money spent to circumvent/or change the outcome the vote.
Then we come to the leaders. Three behind 47 and three to the right. I believe behind 47 is the figure of Narendra Modi, further behind him Is Vlodymir Zelenskky. To the right of Modi - not sure but it appears to be the Italian PM Giorgia Meloni. Over to 47s left: Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin and maybe Bibi Netanyahu. Further o the back is a Persian ship, with Persians on it, holding out - either an oil barrel or the “nuclear dust”. There are satellites and jets either firing missiles or shooting communications beams.
New Moon Solar Eclipse, 12 August 2026
I have been looking at this cover since. 2026 and it gives me such unease. Don’t start any new projects, move, get married, etc. On 11 August, Mars moves into Cancer and where he immediately squares Neptune and Saturn in Aries. In Hellenistic astrology, both Mars and Saturn are considered malefics - and the both are in their “fall” signs. A fall sign just means that Mars in Cancer and Saturn in Aries struggle to express themselves.
This will be our first eclipse in Leo which could express itself as the DOWNFALL of kings, dignitaries, prominent people (like world famous Astrologer Steven Forrest) and could even mean some important folks could transition. However, eclipses hide things/events. There’s a blind spot and a communication blackout. Sometimes an eclipse can show you something unexpected but we still won’t know exactly what that means going forward.
Chiron in Taurus 2026 - 2034
This is the first time we’ve experienced this transit and I think Chiron holds the key. Taurus, which rules the 2nd house is about our wounds. But these wounds relate to our physical security, personal monies (not money that you share with another - that’s the 8th house), personal and moveable possessions, your values. Who are what is more important than money or gold.
It also rules our food, cattle. Is the land being treated right or misused? Then, Taurus rules the stock market - you know the phrase Bull market?
I feel that Chiron in Taurus is giving us a warning because what’s happening in the world right now, will eventually affect your bottom line/pockets.
The world is on fire. There are floods, tornadoes, typhoons, drought and earthquakes. There’s also a battle over water, waterways and oil. We also have a Super El Nino in effect.
How these things effect you in future
Natural disasters affect peoples homes - where they live - the land.
Which means that many people will be homeless. Insurance premiums will go through the roof (or as I suspect - may not be paid at all because the companies will say they are bankrupt).

And then there’s the oil battle that worries me. For over 6 months the oil has not ben flowing. US, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Yemen and UAE have all been locked in the “Battle of the Barrel”.
The entire world depends on oil. LNG supplies us with cooking oil, heating oil; runs our power stations for electricity, cooling and even generates our water supply. Planes, trains, ships, automobiles, trucks - all depend on oil. Our whole supply chain.
Why am I reminding you of this?
Because Winter is Coming.
Winter. Where it’s cold and dark outside. A time we are supposed to be conserving and saving according to astrology. I feel that we will be seeing shortages of everything.
Without oil, there is no fertilizer to make crops grow. There’s not enough of some of the other byproducts like gadolinium-based contrast agents (GBCAs) what’s commonly called “contrast dyes” for x-rays and MRIs. There’s even a shortage of helium that’s needed to perform x-rays and MRIs. So you could be waiting a year or longer to get x-rays or MRIs - which affects your body, another thing Taurus rules.
There’s a entire list of oil byproducts that are not being produced nor processed.
Russia and Ukraine are in the mix too
In the Black Sea and the Sea of Asov, Ukraine and Russia are blowing up each others ships. Did you know that Ukraine is called the Bread Basket of Europe? Ukraine grows approximately 10% of the world’s wheat market, 15% of the corn market, and 13% of the barley market. It is also the main player in the sunflower oil market, contributing over 50% of world trade.
Russia has taken a hit on her refineries and production facilities. In Russia, you see long lines at the gas pump and people coming to fisticuffs. Looks a lot like the US in the mid- 1970’s but also like the oil glut of 1980 where prices on barrels fell to around $26.
Another Housing Market Failure?
I have been hearing whispers about the housing market - that the banks are sitting on foreclosures and don’t know what to do about it. Remember the housing crisis of 2108 - 2022? Did you know there was another housing crisis back in 1929 - right before the Great Depression. I don’t know if the whispers are true but I’ve sent an email to my realtor to ask him what he knows/heard/feels. He’s on vakay with his family and I’ve not heard back.
Why I feel Chiron in Taurus is the Bigger Story
Chiron is known as The Wounded Healer. The myth tells us that he was twice wounded, once when he was rejected by both parents and left for dead on an island when he was born. He was rejected a 2nd time when he died however, the life he lead in between was miraculous, formidable. Raised by Apollo, the Sun God, Chiron went on to learn music, mathematics, medicine, etc. This plays into how we view everything in our society - subscription services for music? I’m old enough to remember physical, brick-and-mortar record stores where you could purchase 45’s and the little red thing to go inside the 45 so that it would play on a real record player that had a needle. Mathematics?
The average kid today has an 6 - 8th grade reading/comprehension rate - the phone/computer and digital media have all but killed books. Medicine? Well let’s just say that here in America we have no medical care that CAN BE AFFORDED. Most of us that can afford health insurance are really just one medical emergency away from bankruptcy.
There are many complaints but I feel it all boils down to the question: What are our governments doing for We The People? This question not only applies to the US, but all over the world.
Here, we never own anything - we are tenants or the Corporation of the United States. Chiron in Taurus will be asking you how can heal yourself surrounding these issues and how can we heal society as a whole surrounding these very same issues.
This is why I feel that Chiron’s transit through Taurus is the bigger story. Chiron’s transits covers 8 years. however this does not mean that the last two eclipses this year will be unimportant…they will be - in some shape, form or fashion.
