My favorite interpretation is: “If something is not working in your life, do not waste anymore time or effort on it For to so so, will only hinder your progress.”
@Alexis Fuentes: The 8 of Cups has some really wise advice about that. Sometimes, things just don’t work out - relationships (romantic or otherwise) simply run out of road. So instead of continuing to put any more effort or energy into it, it’s best to just accept the situation and move on to greener pastures.
That’s reassuring to hear. I haven’t seen it yet, but the 8 of Cups definitely has the right idea—sometimes walking away is the best step toward something better.
It IS a sad card. I have never known it to mean a happy thing either. Someone is deeply disappointed, and the best that can be said is now they are resigned to it, though philosophical, and ready to disengage and reclaim their power.
