Soooo... the bill that just passed spending billions more; printing more money causing even more inflation); paying even more to farmers to NOT grow food; funding 87,000 IRS agents, of which the same agency is buying thousands of rounds of ammunition; doesn't cause you any concern? No red flags? Has anyone actually read the bill? I have. Wake up Linda - authoritarianism is ALREADY HERE, on full display and getting stronger every day. The 2020 election seated the Authoritarians and they project everything they are doing on the other side. If you need proof, just read the bill - it seals the deal on so many areas and further erodes individualism and innate freedoms.
I guess if you believe the government (and the media) has all the answers and actually cares about it's citizens (hint: they don't), you are spot on. I believe power lies with the people, but it's being taken away every day now right in front of our very eyes and too many fail to see it. November elections won't make a difference - it will be too late.

I was emailing with Dr. Laurence Hillman on the Shadow Rescuer archetype and he said this:
"The only connection I can make to the Shadow Rescuer and the Republicans is that they are living in a fantasy to rescue a past that is never coming back, often an idealized version of the 1950s which never existed. "
A government should protect its citizens - not create obstacles and dangerous conditions for them.
As for the 87K IRS agents - this is to be done over a number of years. They need more employees as many of them have retired or quit. I have a friend who STILL waiting on her tax return. And that ammunition you speak of - it's mostly going to the gun-toting population of the country.
The idea of "individualism and innate freedoms" is a gaslight. From the very foundation of this country - the founding fathers, the constitution and the bill of rights - women and people of color were never considered to be individuals nor have innate freedoms. "All men were created equal and that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
Someone must realize that there are other citizens in this country where those words never applied, therefore this "America of the Past" is a fantasy. Until this country owns up to all the treachery it has done in the name of "individualism and innate freedoms" it will forever be a non-existent existence.
As for the printing of money - it's the government and they own the mint. As for who was seated in what in election and when...here we must respectfully disagree. I cannot say exactly what the future may hold under either party, but can say that this is the 21st century and we are supposed to move forward - not backward.
Gianni DiPoce says that debt is money and therefore debt creates inflation. Perhaps the 1% and the corporations could help with that if they PAID THEIR FAIR SHARE. I don't see what the problem is by moving to a greener economy, creating new jobs, ensuring that sick folks and kids can get the medicine and medical attention they need, nor having everyone contribute to a better world.
I try to use my own brain and critical thinking skills to figure out what's happening and not listen to "media" to make my own decisions. I am a firm believer in "it's not what folks say, but what they do" that shows you who they truly are at core level.
I am saddened to hear that you have no faith left in the democratic process. You say on one hand that you believe in People Power, yet say "it's too late".
